Reiki is a form of energy healing based on metaphysical concepts of transferring "universal energy” known as “ki, chi, or qi,” from the practitioner to client. Reiki helps to encourage emotional, physical and/or spiritual healing within the individual. You might already be skeptical, and I was too, until I personally tried it. Many people then ask what does Reiki do? Reiki energy works with the energy in the human biofield to help alleviate stress, anxiety and depression responses. Hundreds of case studies have been conducted to show the efficacy of Reiki, with one of the most comprehensive Reiki case studies conducted at the renowned health center at UCLA (University of California, Los Angeles).
Given this, there is actually no typical Reiki session. Each person is in a different stage of life, holding different traumas from their past, with different current life issues, therefore, each person has a different Reiki experience. Some clients see colors, some see images, some feel extreme relaxation and stress reduction, tingling sensations, while others feel heat or cold in certain areas of the body. I am currently an Usui Master Teacher Reiki practitioner, Holy Fire® Karuna Reiki Master Teacher and soon to be Seichim Master Teacher Reiki practitioner.
A Japanese form of energy healing that aids on both the physical and emotional levels in combination with 5 healing symbols. The Usui energy is an Earth based energy and works closely with the Chakra system.
A Hawaaiian form of energy healing that helps to encourage emotional/mental shifts, especially for sexual and religious traumas. Holy Fire® has a strong yet gentle frequency of energy and utilizes 9 healing symbols for deep healing.
An Egyptian form of energy healing that helps to encourage deep emotional/mental shifts and spiritual awareness. Seichim is a higher frequency of energy when compared to Usui and utilizes the 4 elements plus 27 healing symbols.
Each are highly effective energy modalities and I utilize one or a combination of the three depending on what you as a client need. Most clients are usually in need of rebalancing their energy/chakras, grounding or releasing emotional trauma. We will go over your specific needs at the beginning of the session to create a customized direction for the session. I usually recommend 2 - 3 sessions to treat a specific issue, so that way we can fully release whatever the issue is.
Each in-person session will include aromatherapy techniques for relaxation and enhancing each session, breathwork for helping energy move through the body more efficiently and placing personalized crystal grids compositions during each session.
I received a transformative session from my Reiki Master/Teacher - Uta Opitz. Right from the beginning of the session with Uta, there were large enveloping waves of energy that surrounded my body and I felt very intense warmth wherever her hands were on or near my body. This experience completely altered my perceptions of energy work and I knew immediately that I had to learn Reiki. Because of this life-changing experience, I began a magnificent journey into the energy world and help guide others to find balance and harmony in their lives. Every individual experiences reiki differently, due to each person’s unique path and current mental, physical, spiritual and emotional states. After each session we will discuss the experience, sensations or comments and will explain any other questions.
